She was born in Burnwell, Kentucky on January 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Preston Roberts. On May 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Edward Lawson, who survives.
Frances was a homemaker and a member of the Savannah Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Lawson of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Pam Wilkes and her husband Ronald, Christy Harrison and her husband Steve, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Andy Talley and his wife Christy, Jonathan Wilkes and his wife Ashley, and Kevin Wilkes and his wife Missy; great grandchildren, Chelsea Brasher, Lacie Brasher, Tyler Grammill, Grace Wilkes, Brayden Wilkes, Sophia Wilkes, Madie Wilkes, Turner Wilkes, Harper Wilkes, Ander Talley, Addison Talley, and Acesyn Talley; great-great grandchildren, Eli Robinson and Emmett McFall; sister, Emogene Adkins of Savannah, Tennessee; and brother, Winston Roberts and his wife Brenda of Greenville, Tennessee.
