Mr. Russell was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS and loved gardening and riding his tractor, and generally loved being outdoors.
Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Nell Russell, his parents, Earl Owen Russell and Nancy Dees Russell, his brother, James David Russell, and two sister, Thelma Darby and Nancy Ann Darnell.
He is survived by three children, Anthony Russell, Sandra Ferguson (Bill), and James Russell (Lauri). Survivors also include his grandchildren, Mandy (Dave), Brad (Ally), Jessy, Amber (Jonas), and J.D, four great-grandchildren, Abby, Hayes, Baylee, and Cooper, and one on the way who he claimed was a boy.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2019 from Noon until the funeral service begins at 2pm, all at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS. Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.
