STEPHENS, Gregory P., age 66, of Oregonia, passed away Thurs. Aug. 22, 2019 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

An electrician, Greg retired in 2015 after 30 years of service from Commercial Electrician Local 648 IBEW in Hamilton. He was a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge #94 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.

Fun-loving, easygoing, kind-hearted, and always willing to help others, Greg was a great father to his son and husband to his wife. He admired old cars and enjoyed attending old car shows. Some years ago, he restored a '66 Mustang and was currently in the process of restoring a '55 Chevy. He also enjoyed shooting pool, wagering at the horse and dog tracks, hanging out with his friends, and especially his biannual vacations to Ormond Beach in Florida. He will also be remembered for his Fedora hat collection, his enjoyment for playing the guitar, and his festive love of the Christmas season-complete with a red hat and ugly sweater.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Lessie Mae Stephens; one brother Ray Stephens Jr., sister-in-law Sue Stephens, and brother-in-law Barry Pottorf. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda; two sons Eric (Kelly) Stephens and Justin Stephens (fiancee Rochelle); four grandchildren Shelby, Ryan, Devan, and Cheyenne; two brothers Keith Stephens and Steve (Yvonne) Stephens; sister Janet Pottorf; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Full Masonic and Scottish Rite services will be conducted during the services. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
