Shirley Dawn Pollock, 84, of Shirleysburg, R.R., passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, 2019, at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon.

Born July 24, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Harry S. and Ethel H. (Drake) Leonard. She was united in marriage to Russel James “Banker” Pollock Feb. 5, 1958. Mr. Pollock preceded in death Sept. 30, 2018.

Mrs. Pollock is survived by four children, Myra Mowrer and husband, Dave, of Winchester, Virginia, Tami Coulter and husband, Jere, of Fort Collins, Colorado, Carol Fultz and husband, Terry, of Huntingdon, and Jamie Price and companion, Heidi, of Lansdale; 12 grandchildren, Philip Myers and wife, Kristy, Charles Mowrer and wife, Beth, Troy Mowrer, Emilee Mowrer, Alissa Mowrer, Duston Denney, Courtney Denney, Luke Fultz, Ashlee Fultz, Logan Fultz, Tyler Price and Trevor Price; and five great-grandchildren, Macy, Kenzy, Cally, Zane and Cecilia.

She is also survived by four siblings, Betty Konsella of Elkhart, Indiana, Fred Leonard of Rockhill, Marie Bay of Lewistown and Linda Morgan of Rockhill.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jill Myers.

Mrs. Pollock was a member of Aughwick-Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deacon and volunteered on many committees as an active member of the congregation. She served as treasurer for many years.

She was a member of the auxiliary at the former Woodland Retirement Community and volunteered at the Shirley Home for the Aged for many years.

Mrs. Pollock was a 1953 graduate of Orbisonia High School, Orbisonia.

She worked as a building aide in the Mount Union Elementary School from 1970 until she retired in 1993.

Mrs. Pollock was passionate about football and baseball and often either watched the games on TV or listened on the radio. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and concerts and celebrating their high school and college graduations.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, with the Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg, R.R.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, and from 9 a.m. Monday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aughwick-Germany Valley Church of the Brethren, c/o Sharon Horne, 16379 Loop Road, Shirleysburg, PA 17260.
