Melvyn W. Dobbs of North Prairie died on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 87. He was born in Milwaukee on July 10, 1932 the son of William and Martha Dobbs. He was a graduate of Don Bosco High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He then earned his bachelor's degree from UW-Whitewater. Mel was a math teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools for many years and also worked as a substitute teacher for Arrowhead. He was also proud to have owned The Shoe and Boot Shop, first in North Prairie, and then in Genesee Depot.He will be sadly missed by his loving son David (Marin) Dobbs of Eagle, his cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Jim) Schulz of Stone Bank, Brittany Dobbs of Stone Bank and Norah and Chloe Samuels of Eagle and great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Jace Schulz of Stone Bank. He is further survived by his sister, Marilyn Turner of Las Vegas, NV, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl Blandino.
