Floyd Nelson Clark was born August 2, 1943 in Louisa, VA to the late Theodore and Jettie Clark. He departed this life peacefully in his home on August 8, 2019.

Floyd was educated in Louisa, VA and graduated from A.G. Richardson High School. Floyd had a career with The Holland Brothers Logging until he retired.

Floyd joined Divine Baptist Church at an early age, where God later called him to be trustee, which he loved doing. He loved praising the Lord. He often talked about how good God is.

All who knew Floyd, aka: Pop, Unk, Papa, Daddy, Jake...loved him. He was well known for telling jokes and making others laugh. He was God’s true example of a great servant. He loved his family to the fullest. He loved his Jean and his boys, but he had a heart for everyone. He did not mind helping others in their time of need.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Jetti Clark; his son, Floyd Kerry Clark; two grandsons, Kerry Clark and Martin Baker and two brothers, Robert Clark and Lawrence Clark.

Floyd leaves to cherish his memories: a loving devoted wife of fifty-five years, Barbara Jean Clark and a loving devoted son, Ron Anthony Clark, both of Louisa, VA; three granddaughters: Quianna Clark (Richmond, VA), Ashley Clark (Spotsylvania, VA) and Alivya Burley (Spotsylvania, VA; one brother, Kelly Clark (Dorothy); two sisters: Rev. Fannie Henderson (Nathaniel) and Gracie Smith (Johnnie), all of Louisa, VA; a close friend, Robert Waller and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A very warm, grateful appreciation to Mrs. Judy Minor and her loving family for their dedication of showing God’s love during his illness. Special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont for all they’ve done.

Funeral services will held 2 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Galilee Baptist Church, 3598 Three Notch Road Kents Store, VA 23084, with Rev Fannie Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Devine Baptist Church Cemetery, 11933 Shannon Hill Road, Louisa, Virginia 23093.
