Brothers William A.B. Hicks is buried somewhere in Cass Co, Nebraska.
Thomas Hicks' burial is unknown.
Sister Mary Hicks burial unknown.
Frances was born in Fermanaugh County, Northern Ireland. She immigrated to Quebec about 1825 with her parents, brothers and sisters.

Frances married 1st Paphiras Newman Tuttle Sr. about 1830. They had four children, Frances, Samuel Harrison, Paphiras Jr. and Lucy Anne. Paphiras Sr. died in 1842 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

Her Father Robert Hicks buried in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1844.

When she died she was the widow of her 2nd husband Thomas Twells. They married 05 May 1845 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. She and Thomas had two daughters, Mary and Sarah. About 1851 she and Thomas brought the family to Pepin Co, Wisconsin where four of her brothers and her mother had settled in the late 1840's.

Sunday evening Mrs. Twells, an old lady of 84 years, was prostrated by a stroke of paralysis, and has been unconscious ever since. Friends were summoned, and at this writing but little life and no home is left.

Also mentioned in the same newspaper on the same page of the Pepin County Courier was the following announcement.

Capt. P.N. Tuttle, and family arrived from De Soto Tuesday being summoned by the sudden illness of his mother, Mrs. Twells.
