High Point- Sylvia Salamalekis Hinson, age 35, peacefully passed away on Monday July 15, 2019.
Sylvia was born to Sofoklis Salamalekis and Angela Perrou Salamalekis on May 25, 1984 in Cleveland, Ohio. She grew up and spent most of her life in High Point, graduating from High Point Andrews High School in 2002. Sylvia had a passion for life and she shared it with everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends but they take great comfort in the fact that Sylvia loved the Lord and was a woman of great faith.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Salamalekis and George Salamalekis; father, Sofoklis Salamalekis; nephew, George Alexander Salamalekis and grandfather Emmanuel Perrou.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Madison Hinson; mother, Angela Perrou; sisters, Stella Church (Jamie); grandmother, Sylvia Perrou; niece, Brianna Church, nephews, Jamie Church, Michael Salamalekis and several family members in Ohio. Sylvia loved her Godmother Neke & Jeff Baker.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be sent to St. George Greek Orthodox Church at 808 N. Hamilton St, High Point, NC 27262. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2019 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in High Point. Visitation precedes the funeral services at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
