Donna and her husband Brent enjoyed a loving marriage for over 33 years and had two wonderful children together, Erik and Alex. Donna was greatly comforted by the academic and extra-curricular success of each of her children. Erik plans to graduate this year from Durham College in Computer Programming and to later complete a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. It was a proud moment for Donna this past summer when Erik was selected to play Roller Hockey for Team Canada resulting in a bronze medal at the AAU world tournament in California. Alex plans to finish her program at the University of Toronto in Philosophy and Digital Humanities and to continue toward a Law degree. Alex is also the Chapter President of the Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority and has secured the position of Camp Director at The Toronto Blue Jays Care Foundation Camp this summer.
We wish to express our deep appreciation to our friends and neighbours for the many thoughtful gestures of kindness over the past months. Donna was touched by the many messages received in her final days and we were able to read each one to her as they arrived from all corners of her world. They were a testament to the far-reaching and profound love that Donna cast over everyone she met along her path.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brent Earl Henry of Kingston/Whitby, their children Erik Taylor Henry and Alexandra Rose Henry, her brother Ross Quibell and his wife Maria (nee Monette) of Kingston/Ottawa, her nieces Teri Shurben (Alexander) and Jen Quibell (Tyler Poulin), and her great-nephews and niece Aiden, Jack and Zoe.
