Anna May Vassmer, 82, Excelsior Springs, died June 29, 1992, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Prichard Chapel, Excelsior Springs; burial in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. Friends may call from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Woods Memorial Christian Church or the senior citizens' nutrition site, both in Excelsior Springs. Mrs. Vassmer was a lifelong area resident. She was a secretary at the Elms Hotel in Excelsior Springs before she retired. She was a member of the Excelsior Springs Senior Citizens Council and a former member of the board of the Greenwood rural school district in Clay County.
She was a member of the church. Her husband, Luther Vassmer, died in 1986. Survivors include a son, Billy Lee Vassmer, and a daughter, Lou Ann Jamison, both of Excelsior Springs; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
