Lynn Renee Stevens passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St., Ames, IA 50010). Burial will follow the services in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Lynn was born May 2, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa and Harold and Marguerite (Dunning) Banks adopted Lynn at an early age. She grew up on the family farm in Ames, and graduated from Ames High School. Lynn was always a hard worker, a skill she developed growing up on the farm. She loved her Teddy Bears, fishing for catfish with Tom, and her dog Boo. She was preceded in death by her parents; Harold (Marguerite) Banks, aunt; Mildred Yeoman, and multiple cousins. She is survived by her husband; Tom Stevens, step-daughter; Brittaney Shampang, granddaughter; Ayva Shampang, and many cousins.
