Services to celebrate the life of James “Jimbo” Lee Bivens, Jr., 41, are scheduled for Friday at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home.

Jimbo was born on January 5, 1978, to James Lee and Hazel Moore Bivens. Due to an early childhood illness, Jimbo was left with some life long disabilities. Despite those disabilities he was special and had a huge heart. He taught himself to do things most thought would be impossible. He loved dogs and watching QVC; however, his favorite thing of all was Mickey Mouse and Santa Claus.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Bivens; brothers, Duane Keith Bivens (Sharon Renee) of Biloxi, and Brian Grant Bivens of Milledgeville, GA; special aunt, Mary Bivens; and nephews, Connor and Rhett Bivens.

Jimbo was preceded in death by his father, James Lee Bivens, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Orville Wright and Eura Cook Bivens; maternal grandparents, James R. and Johnnie Moore and a brother, Kerry Lee Bivens.

Bro. George Kyle will officiate the services.
