Mrs. Mary Beatrice “Bea” Janes, age 87, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at her residence. She was born February 11, 1932, the daughter of Hubert and Anna Mary Clark Fraze. Mrs. Janes was a member of Brandenburg United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Alene; two sisters, Gertrude Miller and Ann Nell Cheatham; and four brothers, Charles, Maurice, Lennie and John Fraze. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Azro Janes; five children, Anthony D. Janes, Arlene Kay Janes, Darlene Fay Janes, Dale B. Janes, and her special daughter-in-law, Molly, and Timothy Lee Janes, all of Brandenburg, KY; three sisters, Marcella Groah, Martha Portman, both of Louisville, KY, Helen Gawarecki, St. Paul, KY; and a brother, Louis Fraze, English, IN; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Salem Baptist Church, with Brothers Jim Robinson and Garry Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday; and at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Monday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid with expenses.
