Michael Garland Lay, 63, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died, Friday, November 11, 2011 in Texarkana. He was born January 12, 1948, to Sarah Margaret Bissell Lay and the late Garland Lay. He was a member of the Spring Lake Baptist Church in Texarkana, TX; and a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte Chambers Lay of Texarkana, AR; one daughter Meredith Hale and husband Caleb of Texarkana, TX; two sisters Peggy Mills and husband Shane of Texarkana, AR; and Janet O'Neal of Nashville, AR; one granddaughter McKenzi Grace Hale of Texarkana, AR; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial services will be 4:00 P.M., Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville with Bro. Ken Adams officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Beech St. First Baptist Church, New Day Building Fund.
