December 21, 1928 - August 19, 2019

Mr. Jack Cooper, age 90 of Quitman, passed through the heavenly gates Monday, August 19, 2019. He will always be lovingly remembered by his family as a hard worker. He worked, proudly, for nearly 60 years to provide for his family. Mr. Cooper was married to the love of his life, Johnnye Carol, for 51 and a half years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Elizabeth Carol (Liz) Silmon and Stacey; granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Stewart and Nick; grandson, Chandler Gray Silmon; great grandchildren, Jensen Avery Stewart, Paisley Gray Silmon; two sisters, Mary Hines of Spartenburg, SC, Carolyn Staggs of Quitman; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was proceded in death by his loving wife, Johnnye Carol (Thrift) Cooper; parents, William Bond and Bertie Lee (Andrews) Cooper; brother, Billy Cooper; sister, Kathleen Hansen.

Friends may visit with the family Saturday, August 24, 2019 at North Hodge Assembly of God from 10:00-11:00AM. Funeral services are set to begin at 11:00AM with Reverend Geary Phillips and Reverend Stan Thrift. A private family burial will take place following the funeral under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
