Clara A. "Mrs. C." Catalano (Marotta), age 90 of Painesville Twp, died August 17, 2019, at her home under the care of Hospice and her son Donald. She was born September 4, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Giovanni and Filomena Marotta. She moved to Painesville Twp when she married the late Angelo V. Catalano, Sr. They were married 69 years until his death in 2003. Mrs. C was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and B.P.O.E. Lodge 549. She loved word puzzles and enjoyed catering with her son D.C. She also cherished her friends at the Subway in Painesville Twp. She retired from Pick-n-Pay after 23 years and was a member of Local 880 United Food Workers Union. She is survived by her three children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 6 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Gabriel Church, 9935 Johnnycake Ridge Rd, Concord. Please meet at the church.
