Eva “May” Riley, 83, of 15406 Raystown Road, James Creek, died at 2:05 p.m. Aug. 12, 2019, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon.

Born June 19, 1936, in James Creek, she was a daughter of the late John Wilmer and Elva Anna (Whitfield) Riley. She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Donald Enyeart Aug. 8, 2012.

She is survived by her two brothers, John Thomas Riley, and wife, Elizabeth, Marklesburg, and George Robert Riley, and wife, Joanne, James Creek; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her long-time companion, Donald Enyeart, Aug. 8, 2012.

Miss Riley was an active member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Marklesburg, and was a Sunday School teacher for more than 30 years.

She graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1955.

Miss Riley retired from McCrory’s in Huntingdon in 1997 after working for 43 years. She was an assistant manager when the store closed. She also collected sewage fees and was the tax collector for Marklesburg Borough.

She enjoyed performing plays at the Old Town Hall as well as watching birds.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Cutright Funeral Home — Smithfield Chapel, 313 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon, with the Rev. Doug Satterlee and the Rev. James Patterson officiating. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery, Marklesburg.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
