Velma Lee Harris, 93, of Harrison, died Sunday, June 30 (2019). Visitation is 5-7: p.m., Friday, July 5, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral is 10 a.m., Saturday, July 6, at Bellefonte Church of Christ. Interment is in Maplewood Cemetery. She was born in Newton County on May 2, 1926, i. Her parents are the late Davie Vinson and Elsie May (McCutcheon) Reddell. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Floy Reddell; a sister, Ava Hickman and a grandson. Velma married Levy Harris on December 19, 1947. He died March 27, 2015. She was a long-time member of Bellefonte Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Gillum, of Tennessee; a son, Jerry Harris, of Little Rock; her sisters, Ruth Pratt and Eoudella Young; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Donald Joe Hickman, Brian Hickman, Alan Hickman, Mike Reddell, David Young, and Billy Joe Roberts.
