JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Stella Roberts McMahan and her father, Clay McMahan.
JoAnn grew up in the Wildwood community of Blount County, graduating from Porter High School. She retired from Blount County Schools having worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Porter Elementary School. JoAnn was also an active and devoted member of Oak View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Dale Wagner of Maryville, Tennessee. She leaves her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Susan Wagner, and David and Gina Wagner also of Maryville. She is also survived by her grandsons; Luke Wagner and his wife, Keri Wagner of Lenoir City; Clay Wagner of Maryville; Cody Wagner and his wife Caitlin Wagner of Knoxville; and Nolan Wagner of Maryville. JoAnn is survived by her brother, Jimmy McMahan and his wife, Pat of Maryville, nieces, Lee McMahan and Jama McMahan, several cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, August 22nd at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with the Oak View Pastor Rev. Scott Huffstetler officiating. Family and Friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 23rd at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa, Tennessee for the interment.
