Sandra Mason passed away Friday August 9, 2019 at her home in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born October 6, 1942 to Cody Charles Armour and Norma Webb Calaway in El Dorado, AR.

Sandra worked as a Social Worker for Union Medical Center and AHEC. She was always willing to help others. She was active in the civil rights movement in the 1960's and was honored to be involved in the March on Selma in 1965. On September 11,2001 Sandra was in New York at ground zero working with the Red Cross. She was an avid bookworm and loved reading.

Sandra is preceded by her parents and her grandparents Porter and Nettie Webb, who played a large role in raising her.

She is survived by her three sons: Christopher Hayes Mason, Kyle Eric Mason, and Mark Steven Mason; her grandchildren Shelby C. Mason, Chance Hendrix and her great granddaughter Lily Brookes Mason.

Also surviving her are her brothers Alan Calaway, Paul Calaway, and her sisters Judy Calaway Hargrove, Nancy Calaway Loomis, and Kay Armour Griffith.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Young's Chapel with Larry Hudson officiating.
