SSG Victor Manuel Rosado Quintana born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of Carlos Juan Rosado Rodriguez and Lilliam Quintana Lopez. He was raised in the Barriada Salazar #40 in Ponce with loving parents and many brothers and sisters. When he was a kid he went to Escuela Ramon Marin Elementary and like to work cleaning and shining shoes and selling the newspapers in the neighborhood. His parents and family always called him by his nickname Manuelito. Every summer he and his sister Miriam went to help his Abuela Ines who was working as a maid in Bertoly # 3 in Ponce. As he was growing up he liked to go swimming in the Rio Portugues close to his parents home. He liked to climb trees and take birds eggs and bring them home to his mother who always scolded him but lovingly put them under the stove to keep warm until they hatch. Then his mom will give names to each bird and let them fly free and the birds always came back to visit them. As he grew up and became a young man he joined the US Army for about 23 years. He was a loving son, brother and later father to his children. Victor got sick due to his military deployments in the Middle East. As he was approaching the doors of the eternity he contacted the Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and started to read, study and ponder the Scriptures every Friday until Heavenly Father called him to his side.
We love you Manuelito very much and we know that we will meet you again. Te queremos muchote y te veremos nuevamente. Ahora solo te decimos Hasta Luego... until we will meet again..
