She was married August 12, 1973 to Donald Grim who survives. Jean grew up on a farm near Salamonia and was a member of Salamonia United Church of Christ. She graduated from Portland High School in 1945.
In her early years she worked at Weiler's Department Store. She also worked at Montgomery Ward in Portland. In 1961 she moved to Muncie and managed the Montgomery Ward Store there until her retirement.
In 1985 Jean and Don moved to Port Charlotte, Florida. They were active members in the North Port Community United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband Don, One son Jim Beeler (wife Sharon) of Portland, Step-son Terry Grim (wife Rea), Step-daughter Kathy Gant (husband Jeff), Step-daughter Elaine Casados (husband Randy), Grandchildren Lauranne Hauck, Brad Beeler, Becki Rigby of Portland, Matthew Avery, Kenny Avery, Lori LeValley, Ryan Grim, Leah Sour, Jaimie Reese, Renee Riley, Jared Grim, Jason Grim, Katie Ryan, Kelly Gant, Nick Gant, Kodi Thurston, Travis Casados, Amy Coplen and thirty four great grandchildren.
