Wanda was born on March 7, 1941, the daughter of Earl and Ersie (Syfert) Cox.
She graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1960. Wanda later attended beauty school in Decatur, Illinois and worked as a beautician at her home and at Fashion Chateau in Shelbyville for a total of 33 years. She also worked as a switchboard operator at Shelby Memorial Hospital for 18 years. Wanda was a Charter Member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Shelbyville, member of the American Business Women's Association in Shelbyville, and member of the former Henton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed painting on canvas, working Sudoku puzzles, square dancing and having coffee with the girls.
Wanda married Glen R. Warner on March 4, 1967. Wanda is survived by her husband, Glen of Shelbyville; son, John (Julie) Warner of Tower Hill; grandson, Matthew (Kayla) Warner of Effingham; step-granddaughter, Stacy (Matt) Parkinson of Aledo, Illinois; step-great grandchildren, Melody Collett, Rayla Parkinson, and Keyan Parkinson and sisters, Helen Curtis of Champaign and Mary Latson of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ersie Cox.
