DeLaney, Linda (nee Shamel) Monday, August 19, 2019, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Loving wife of the late Sgt. Dick DeLaney; dearest mother of ----(---) DeLaney; cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother; dear sister of Julie (Joe) , Lisa (Tom) , Andi (Kent) , Chris (Judy) , Mari (Matt) , Stephanie Jill (James) , and Kirk ; dear aunt of 18 and great-aunt of 16; dearest American mom of Valerie (Jerry) and friend of many.

Linda was a teacher for 42 years, teaching at Christ the King Catholic School, Pattonville School District, and Jamestown Elementary. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer at the Fabulous Fox Theater and the USO of Missouri, and was a member of the St. Louis Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians where she was a founding member of the AOH St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dog Town. Linda also served as Director of the Irish Northern Aid.

Funeral Mass 11 am, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church (U. City). Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 3-8 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center (St. Charles).
