He was born on Jan. 31, 1956, in Lockney, Texas. Rick married Stephanie Higgins on Aug. 3, 1991. He was a devoted member of St. Matthew Methodist Church, as well as a semi-retired licensed social worker. He loved working in his garden and his woodworking projects, and he also enjoyed substitute teaching.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Marlene (Raley) Robertson. Rick is survived by his wife; a sister in-law and husband from Denver, Colo., Vickie and Curt Petty; a sister in-law and husband from Lubbock, Julie and Chris Brown; three nieces; one nephew; one great-nephew; one brother; and one sister.
The family suggests memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation of West Texas, 4601 50th St. Suite 101, Lubbock, TX 79414.
