Chester J. Karbon Jr., age 53, of 842 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2006, at the Jens Family Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Bleeke will officiate.

Chester was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Manitowoc, son of the late Chester J. Sr. and Ann M. Nething Karbon. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1971 from Lincoln High School. He was employed with the Seiler Bros. Construction Company Inc. for many years until his death. Chester married the former Elisa (Mona) Cutzy on Jan. 30, 2003, in Manitowoc.

Survivors include his wife: Elisa (Mona) Karbon, Manitowoc; one daughter: Nicole E. Karbon, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law: James (Vicki) Karbon, Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Judith Karbon, Manitowoc; Nancy (Gary) Larson, Merced, Calif.; Marilyn (Orley) Skattebo, Manitowoc; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Apolinario and Mercedes Cutay; one brother-in-law: Benny Cutsy; one sister-in-law: Jasmen Cutsy. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, June 23, 2006, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Chester’s name.

Chester loved cars. He enjoyed building hot rods and attending car shows.
