He was a native of Daufuski Island, SC but lived most of his life in Savannah, GA.
He was a self employed Painter and Contractor and was known for his work by the contribution he made throughout Historic Savannah.
He was a lifelong member of First Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, BTU, Sunday School and Missionary Society. He actively participated as a Christian serving in leadership positions with these church axillaries as well as a teacher also.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha R. Mitchell and nine siblings.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, April 28, 2012 at First Friendship Baptist Church, 506 Hamilton Ct., Savannah, GA. Rev. Keith T. Bruen, Officiating.
Interment ~ Hillcrest Abbey East.
