J.B. Davis

Funeral services for J.B. Davis of Minco were held Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church in Minco. Burial with military honors followed in the Evergreen Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis passed away Aug. 17, 2019, at his home. He was born Dec. 10, 1918, in Jenkins, Mo.

J.B. attended school in Blanchard and Minco. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during World War II.

J.B. worked as an aircraft mechanic for the FAA and Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement in 1980. He served on the Minco Fire Department for many years and was a lifelong member of the El Reno VFW Post #382.

J.B. is survived by his wife, Minnie of the home; sons, Paul Davis and Terry Davis, both of Minco and Jim Davis of Tuttle; brother, Steve Davis of Arlington, Texas; sister, Ruby Charlton of Derby, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

We regret to learn about the passing of 100 year old WWII Veteran, Purple Heart and 3 time Bronze Star recipient and lifetime member of the VFW Post 382, Mr. JB Davis’ earthly duties have been fulfilled and he has continued on his heavenly journey.

The services for Mr. Davis will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10 am. The services will be held at the Minco Assembly of God Church with Interment at the Evergreen Cemetery. In memory of JB, please wear your overalls if you got them.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Minco Fire Department or the VFW Post 382 - El Reno.
