Paul Wayne Wheeler, 66, of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO.
Paul was born November 24, 1952 in Tahlequah, OK to the union of Daniel and Imogene (Bailey) Wheeler. Paul was united in marriage to Ruth Ann (Williams) Wheeler on July 28, 1973 in Garnett, KS. Paul worked as an IT Database Architect all around the United States, retiring in June of 2018. Paul enjoyed cars, dogs, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur Wheeler.
Paul is survived by his wife Ruth of the home; two sons, Max Wheeler and wife Samantha of Stafford, MO, and Donavan Wheeler and wife Cassie of Pittsburg, KS; two daughters, Shena Atkinson and husband Clint of Baxter Springs, KS, and Tara Goheen and husband Chris of Port St. Lucie, FL; one sister, Danetta Harper and husband Fred of Galena, KS; eight grandchildren, Landon, Karsyn, River, Logan, Rain, Luke, Dalton, and Memphis.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the family home 8950 SE Star Rd. Baxter Springs, KS. Paul has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
