Gwendolyn was born Nov. 11, 1939 in Lincoln, the daughter of Ralph and Beulah (Tyler) Glover. She married Roy Brown on June 16, 1957 in Danville. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter, Marcia Lee (Monty) Simmons of Hoopeston; sisters, Marcia (Larry) Smith of Hoopeston, and JoAnn Binkley or Urbana; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, six brothers and three sisters.
Gwendolyn worked for the telephone office for several years and later owned The Darb-Brownie Lunch Counter with her husband, Roy, until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She loved her entire family. Memorials may be made to the Hoopeston Animal Shelter.
