Mr. Cain was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was employed by Birmingham Bolt Co. in Bourbonnais. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Patricia Caldwell Cain; three daughters, Jennifer Morris, Rachel Cain and Carla Cain; two sons, Dale Jr. and Christopher Cain; two brothers, Richard Cain and Ronnie Cain; two sisters, Nancy Dunstan and Betty Cain; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson. His parents were Melvin Cain and Blanche Brownfield Cain.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Aly Funeral Home of Golconda is in charge of arrangements.
