George N. Beck, 94, of Allegheny Township, formerly of Harrison Township, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at the home of his daughter, where he has been living the past year. He was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Sagamore, to the late William and Lillian (Hartzell) Beck. George was self-employed owning Foreign Auto Body Parts, located in Camp Jo-Ann for more than 30 years. He served his country during World War II in the Army achieving the rank of Sergeant and was stationed in Japan. He loved to jump on the lawn mower to cut grass, loved planting a garden every year and loved to play roulette at the casino. Survivors include his daughters, Linda (Robert) Carson, Elaine (John) Purcell and Diana (David) Metal. He had seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and two brothers, (Jack and Carl), and two sisters, (Madeline and Ella Mae), he was preceded in death by his son, George N. Beck Jr., Aug. 5, 2020. As per George's wishes, his services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township.
