Pamela Joyce (Stewart) France passed away on August 16, 2019 in Columbus, OH at 66 years of age. Proceeded in death by her parents Albert Lonzo and Mary Evelyn Copeland Stewart and her brother Marion Stewart (Jim). Surviving Pam are brothers Albert Stewart Jr. and his wife Joyce Lee, John Stewart and his wife Nancy Byrd, and sister Shirley (Stewart) France and her husband Stephan France.
Pam and her loving husband of 44 years (married 22 March 1975 in Akron, Ohio), Gregory Allan France, have three children: Amanda Marie Overby (husband Justin Martin), Molly Evelyn Hicks (husband Nicholas) and Elliot Gregory France (wife Christina Hodges). Pam and Gregory have four beautiful granddaughters; Madeline Marie Cleary, Kateline Marie Cleary, Charlotte Marie France, and Hazel Ann France.
After graduating from Coventry High School in Akron, Ohio, Pam received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University of Ohio. Her masters of Speech Pathology was achieved from Murray State of Kentucky. Pam dedicated her professional life to helping children with speech problems first in the public school system in Kentucky and then at the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center for nearly 26 years where she became an assistant director. Pam continued to practice in the field she loved up until her retirement two months ago. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center: 510 E. North Broadway, Columbus, Ohio 43214, and to University Hospital at O.S.U. Hospice: 410 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210. On Friday August 23rd, visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm followed by Pam’s Memorial Service from 7:00-8:00pm.
