John H. Berkstresser, 85, of 125 E. Mountain View Dr., Chula Vista, had been County Assessor 16 years for Logan County, CO. He died Wednesday in Bay General Hospital.

Humphrey Mortuary conducted graveside services yesterday at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

A native of Illinois and a 7 year county resident, Berkstresser is survived by his wife, Clara L. Berkstresser.
