LAKE SHAWNEE– Carol J. Stanley, 79 of Lake Shawnee died Thursday, August 15, 2019. Born July 1, 1940 at Ashland, WV she was the daughter of the late Oliver Barnes Cecil and Ethel Mae Pierce Cecil.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker. She fulfilled her three goals in life of being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Stanley; two sisters, Barbara Harvey and Eva Faye Ball.

Survivors include three children, Rhonda Billings and husband Ricky of Lake Shawnee, James Stanley and companion Maureen Hudnall of Lashmeet and Keith Stanley and wife Robin of Tazewell, VA; two grandchildren, Cassidy Meade of Princeton and Seth Billings of Lake Shawnee; one brother, Granville Cecil of Independence, VA and one sister Dorothy Combs and husband Wayne of Lashmeet.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home with Pastor C. T. Lilly, III officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
