WILLIAM SCHROEDER
(1863 - 1945)
William Schroeder, 80, of Two Rivers, died late Wednesday afternoon at the Holy Family hospital. It was the fourth death in the family in less than five months.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Beduhn funeral home in Two Rivers, where the body may be viewed after 7 o'clock tonight.
Mr. Schroeder was born in the town of Two Rivers in 1864 and moved to Two Rivers 53 years ago where he married Miss Anna Reinert. She died 17 years ago. For a number of years he conducted a tavern. He gave up the business and was employed at the Hamilton Manufacturing company, retiring after the death of his wife. Since that time he made his home for a number of years at Manitowoc and for the past few years lived at the home for the aged at Francis Creek.
Survivors are two sons, Ray J. Schroeder of Milwaukee, William of Muskegon, Mich; daughter, Mrs. Peter Slaby, Two Rivers; two brothers, Ex-Chief Ferdinand Schroeder and August, both of Two Rivers, and a sister, Mrs. Louis Kahrs of San Diego, Calif. Six grandchildren also survive.
