Actor. A member of one of America's premier acting families, he will best be remembered for his Academy Award-nominated roles in 1969's 'Easy Rider' and 1997's 'Ulee's Gold.' The only son of legendary actor Henry Fonda and his wife Frances, he is the younger brother of actress Jane Fonda, and the father of actress Bridget Fonda. He studied acting while attending the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he joined the Omaha Community Playhouse. He appeared on the Broadway stage before producer Ross Hunter chose him to co-star with Sandra Dee in 'Tammy and the Doctor' (1963), which was a minor hit. Among films he would appear in over a career that spanned six decades, were 'The Wild Angels' (1966), 'Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry' (1974), 'The Cannonball Run' (1981), 'South Beach' (1992), 'Wild Hogs' (2007) and 'Boundaries' (2018).
