McKenzie Dies In Lexington VA Hospital Elmer E. McKenzie, 58, passed away in a Lexington veteran's hospital on December 17 after being ill for several months. The Prestonburg resident and United Baptist was the son of the late Norris and Goldie McIntosh McKenzie. He was born in Boyd County. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Lewis McKenzie, he is survived by two sons from Prestonsburg, Elmer McKenzie Jr. and Raymond McKenzie; two brothers, Harold McKenzie of Lima, Ohio, and Raymond McKenzie of Ada, Ohio, and a sister in Ft. Pierce, Fla., Mrs. Faye Johnson. Services were held December 20 in the Free Will Baptist Church at Ival, with the Rev. James Harmon officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery, under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Ronnie Wallen, Bobbie Branham, Neil Bailey, Ronnie Hall, Danny Hall, and James Goble. Paintsville Harold Wednesday December 34, 1970
