Mrs. Matthews was born October 15, 1938 in Robertson County to the late Harold R. and Ruby Shannon Grubbs. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Matthews loved fishing and bird watching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Cecil Larry “Pa” Matthews, by her son: Randy Matthews, and by her brothers: Maxie and Joe Eldon Grubbs.
Mrs. Matthews is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Rhonda and Mike Peck of Greenbrier, by her son and daughters-in-law: Larry and Patsy Matthews of White House, Kathy Matthews of Goodlettsville, by her brother and sister-in-law: Ronnie and Mildred Grubbs of Smyrna, by 9 grandchildren, by 19 great grandchildren, and by the love of her life, her poodle, Rusty Matthews.
