Elizabeth “Betty” S. Kadel Brunner, age 97, of Marysville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at The Bluebird Retirement Community. She retired from the Union County Recorder’s Office after working many years as a clerk. A graduate of Harding High School in Marion, she also was a former City Loan clerk, in both Marion and Marysville. She was born April 23, 1922 in Marion, Ohio to the late Warren Lewis and Mary Alberta Shepherd Kadel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred F. “Bill” Brunner; and her sister, Norma Weiser. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Gus) Stierhoff of Marysville; two grandsons, Jeffrey Stierhoff of Marysville and Michael (Sara) Stierhoff of West Liberty; and nieces and nephews. Rev. Jacob D. Heino will officiate graveside services to be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital mobile meals.
