Obituary for Jack Casey
On December 21, 2012, Jack E Casey passed away while in the wonderful care of the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, Tn.He was born on October 11, 1930 in Raymond, Illinois, the son of the late Ralph & Augusta Casey. As a young man, Jack was an Eagle Scout and served in the US Navy for 5 years. He graduated from Oakland High School in Oakland, Illinois and went on to earn his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois and later obtaining his Masters degree from Washington University in Washington, D.C. Jack was a consumate professional in working with the National Security Agency at Ft. Meade Maryland. Jack was married to the late Martha Grizzard Casey of Mt. Juliet, Tn. He was a wonderful & loving father to all his children - Dave Casey (Nancy), Geoff Casey (Angie) & Jackie Hampton (Perry) from his first marriage to Rhoda Burley in Plymouth, England; as well as to Stan Chandler (Kim) and Lisa Chandler both children of Martha. He leaves behind these five children, their spouses and 8 wonderful grandchildren. He also leaves brother & sister, Charles and Pat Casey, both of Charleston, Illinois. All whom met Jack will cherish his memory of strength, peace and gentleness. Jack was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed the outdoors and nature and was immensly generous in donating to both his church and many charities over his lifetime. For those who wish, gifts in his name may be directed to Victory Baptist Church, Alive Hospice, or the charity of their choice. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
