She was born Jan. 1, 1950 in Princeton, WV, the daughter of Paul Allen Lucas and Glenna White Webb, stepfather Ernest Webb, maternal grandparents, Letha Martin White and Robert White and paternal grandparents, James and Ethel Lucas.
She was survived by her son, Stephen Douglas Webb and his wife, Patricia Webb and their two children, daughter, Elizabeth and son, Reese. She was also survived by her extended families...daughter, Teresa Lynn Hylton, son, Mack Hylton, grandchildren, Kirsten Shayne Hylton and Lance Michael Hylton, son, Cliff Mills and his wife, Jodi, son Thomas and daughter, Jordan.
Susan was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Beckley. She was a member of the Beta Theta Mu sorority at Beckley College, President of United Cerebral Palsy and Treasurer for Friends of Coal Ladies Auxiliary.
She graduated Woodrow Wilson High School in 1967. She was a 44 year employee of the Hylton Family (Beckley Hotel, Nell Jean Enterprises, and Grandview Market Country Store), and she was an employee of the City of Beckley Police Department for 5 and a half years.
Susan was loved by all and she will be missed. May she rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers Susan would rather you send donations to the Bowers Hospice House of Beckley, who took tremendous care of her in her time of need.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 16th at 12 noon in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. The family is receiving friends at 11:00 am. The burial is in Sunset Memorial Park.
