Carol Ann Savory, 67, of the Wassamassaw Community, retired Assistant Director of Financial Services at Charleston Southern University, died Tuesday morning at her residence.

Her memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon, August 17, 2019, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until the hour of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the MUSC Heart & Vascular Center, c/o the MUSC Foundation, 18 Bee Street MSC 450, Charleston, SC 29425.

Ms. Savory was born January 2, 1952, in Clinton, MO, a daughter of Ernest Glenn Savory and Lula Belle Bledsoe Savory. She was a former accountant for Cummins Engine Co., and a retired senior accountant at Trident Technical college. Ms. Savory enjoyed crocheting, fishing, singing, and cooking while teaching her grandchildren how to cook. She was musically inclined and played both the accordion and the organ. She also liked frogs of any kind, antiques, and flowers- especially sunflowers and gardenias. However, Ms. Savory especially loved working on the farm with her husband.

She is survived by, her husband, Arnold R. DuBose; two daughters, Stephanie Holladay Johnson and her husband, Frank, of Becker, MN, and Donna D. Simmons and her husband, Ronnie, of Goose Creek; a son, Curtis L. DuBose, Sr., and his wife, Toni, of Wassamassaw; six grandchildren, Theresa E. Simmons, Erin S. DuBose, Madison T. Simmons, C. Lee DuBose, Jr., Coby B. Caudill, and Brant C. Caudill; and her special pet, Gabby.
