Mrs. Edwards passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder.
Grace Alice (Wynsma) Edwards was born on September 23, 1939, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Geert and Grace (Venlet) Wynsma. She attended Oakdale Christian School in Grand Rapids until the ninth grade and then attended Grand Rapids Christian High School. She was united in marriage to Melvin Ray Counterman on August 9, 2011, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She was an extrusion takeoff for Schlegel, BTR and Metzler Automotive for over 17 years. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Frederick.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Counterman; one daughter Mary Gaddy Wade of Henderson, Texas; one brother, Dick Wynsma of Grand Rapids, Michigan; four grandchildren, Shawn Hodges, Susan Kohlhaas, John Allen Gaddy, and Shayla Wade; and six great-grandchildren, Cohlyn Hodges, Cannon Hodges and Caylan Hodges, Jayden Kohlahaas, Amara Kohlahaas, and Charlie Marie Gaddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Johnny Edwards; four brothers, Bill, Jerry, Hank and Pete Wynsma; and one sister, Ida Brouwer.
