Born Oct 7, 1690, Hatfield, MA. Died Nov. 21, 1774 - 85th yr., Litchfield, CT. Buried in West Cemetery. Married Oct 20, 1716 to Sarah dau. Samuel and Patience (Gibbs) Denslow, Windsor, CT. Recorded in Hatfield, MA, she as born Feb 13, 1694, Windsor, CT. She was his first cousin. On Feb 12, 1722/23 Ebenezer sold to Daniel Haydon land in Windsor which he had received from his grandfather, Samuel Gibbs. He was a resident of Hatfield at that time. He lived for some time in Hatfield and later removed to CT. In 1753, he bought 50 acres of land in Cornwall, CT from Stephen Lee. This land was on the Litchfield Road near Mohawk Pond. In 1754 he bought another piece of land of Stephen Lee. On Aug 2, 1755 he bought land from the estate of Zechariah Dibble. This piece of land he conveyed to his son, Benjamin in 1773. In 1765 he conveyed land to his son William. This land was in Cornwall, CT. He bought land in Blue Swamp (Milton) section of Litchfield and evidently lived there for a few years as a house and barn are mentioned in the settlement of his estate. His estate probated June 10, 1775 - gave 1/3 of real estate and 1/3 of his personal property to the widow Sarah. This included the house and barn in Litchfield and the house and barn in Cornwall. All of the land in his estate was in the Blue Swamp section except the two pieces of land in Cornwall. Just what became of Sarah is not yet known.
