Karen was born in Seneca on July 22, 1941 to Norbert "Nub" and Rosezella Luginbill Boeding. She attended school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Seneca, graduating in 1959.
On August 1, 1959 Karen married the love of her life, Daniel Henry at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. In the fall of that same year, they moved to Kansas City until 1967 when they bought a farm and moved back to Nemaha County. The couple was still residing on that same farm, that they bought so many years ago. When she moved back to the area, Karen went to work for her sister, Judy at the Onaga Sale Barn for a few years. While her kids were being raised, she was "a stay home mom" until 1988, when she went to work for the Shoe Center in Seneca retiring from there in 2013.
Karen loved to cook, bake, canning the fruits of her labor picked from her garden, attending auctions and garage sales, collecting antiques, growing flowers, dancing, going to horse races with Dan and attending the activities of her grandchild. Her family was extremely important to her.
Karen was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca and St. Anne's Altar Society all in Seneca.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dan; her children, Mike (Rose Mary), Doug (Tracey), Rick (Joan), Lori (Mike), Pat (Beth ), Allen (Arlene), Fred (Kim) and Jolene (Shawn); a brother Joe (Darlene); sisters, Donna (Frank), Pat (Dan), Paula, Joan (Rick) and Marilyn (Tom); 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
