Joyce A. Tyson, age 69, of Earleville, MD died suddenly on August 12, 2015 at Christiana Hospital. Born in Chester, PA, she was raised in Upper Chichester and has resided the past 13 years in Earleville, MD, previously residing in Linwood, PA. A Homemaker, Joyce was devoted to her faith and a lifelong active member of the Marcus Hook Baptist Church. She served as Deaconess, and was involved in the Youth Ministries, the nursery and senior citizen’s meals. She was devoted to her home and family and enjoyed spending time at her 2nd home at Indian Acres in Maryland. In addition to her parents, Herbert and Doris Dougherty Stafford, she is preceded in death by her brother, George Stafford and her son-in-law, Jesse Duke. Joyce is survived by her husband of 54 years, Raymond F. Tyson, children, Ray Tyson (Sophie Barrett), Deborah Tyson (Steve Favreau), Dave Tyson (Valerie), Wayne Tyson (Esther), Ryan Tyson (Nadia) and Tara Duke, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Monday evening 7-9p.m. and also Tuesday, 9-10a.m. at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Services will follow Tuesday, 10:00a.m. at the funeral home.. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery.
