Kenneth E. Boyd, 74, of Cabot went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 11, 2019.

He was born October 11, 1944 in Cabot to the late Wilbur “Earlie” Boyd and Mary “Emma” (Webb) Boyd.

He was a 1962 graduate of Jacksonville High school. Kenneth worked for Union Life in the early 70’s before joining the Union Pacific Railroad where he retired as an electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He served in the United States Army, and was a deacon at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Kenneth helped everyone, lived for his grandchildren and loved golf.

He and his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Jane (Jackson) Boyd married in January 1963. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Jane; children, Darin Boyd (Terri) and Angela Coursey (Eugene “Bubba”); grandchildren, Jackson Boyd, Gavin Boyd, Kevin Coursey (Nicki), Ashley Aeger (Joey); five great-grandchildren; siblings, Wil Boyd (Betty), Irma Barrett (Don), Glen Boyd (Phyllis), Annette Hammons (Johnny); sister-in-law, Judy Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Joe Boyd.

Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Burial at Sumner Cemetery.
