Deward was a graduate of Bonneville High School. On October 16, 1981, he married Bonnie Jean Flora in Idaho Falls Temple, and they had two sons, Wade and Ash. Deward was a gifted marble mason and crafted various pieces of workmanship for Boise Federal Courthouse and US Bank in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his callings included Boy Scouts, Executive Secretary, and Sunday School Teacher. He also served twp missions, one to England in his youth and more recently with Bonnie doing Family History in Idaho Falls. He enjoyed hunting, camping, woodworking, guns, and learning about the Civil War, World War I and World War II. Survivors beside his loving wife included: sons Wade (Nicci) and Ash (Lisa) Whitwell; siblings Sheila Schuetz, Tressa (Dale) Turinetti, Pamela Burt, Karen Crow, Susan (Lynn) Coles, Mike (Pam) Watson. Wendy Watson. Scot (Andrea) Bowles. Andrea (Clark) Johnson, Laurie (Brian) Little and Deana (Doug) Brower; and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding were his brother Aaron Bowles, sister Karen Forbush and stepmother Betty Bowles. Funeral services held o August 16th at Highland Park Ward at 955 Memorial Drive.
