Richard Lee Byers, 81, Princeton, MO passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at a Bethany, Missouri Hospital.
He was born on June 3, 1938 in Carthage, Illinois the son of John and Freida (Ancelot) Byers.
On April 2, 1960 he married Connie Sue Wendt in Carthage, Illinois. She survives of the home.
Richard served in the United States Army and went on to work for GRM for over 40 years and also farmed. He loved golfing, hunting and fishing, attending grandchildren’s games and event, tractor pulls, rodeos and cattle shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Lindsay Byers; sister, Pat Dunsworth and a brother, Larry Byers.
Richard is also survived by his sons, John (Shelli) Byers, Chariton, IA, Scott (Lisa) Byers, Princeton, MO; daughter, Brenda Byers, Afton, IA; grandchildren, Chelsey (Shane) Page, Murray, IA, Caleb (Taylor) Byers, Chariton, IA, Kole (Presley) McCormick, Lucas, IA, Jessica (Curt) Beary, Chariton, IA, Shaynee McCormick and Taylor Feehan, Russell, IA, Briana Bentley, Trenton, MO, Sarah (Chris) Glidewell, Trenton, MO, Remington Byers and Cody Byers both of Princeton, MO; eleven great grandchildren and sisters, Rosemary Jaques (Adrian) Greeley, CO and Marilyn (Jeff) Klocke, Rock Falls, Il.
